27 Dresses Opeing sequence Analysis

27 dresses
-          20th century fox and spyglass, this is popular, familiar and is still advertising.
-          The font of the titles are fancy
-          And then we hear wedding music-setting the scene- first we see a glimpse of the passed showing how the main character found her call in life, so it goes to the passed ‘1987’, shows her as a kid, saving a brides wedding dress, and then shows what made the present character do what she does now.
-          See then hear a voice over of Jane saying ‘And that’s when I fell in love with weddings’.
-          It then shows the present character of Jane aged in mid-20’s maybe 30’s, she is getting ready for a wedding and meets with her friend, who is lazy, Jane gets her ready by giving her hair clips and clothes, showing that she is organised and has to take care of many people in her life , from her friend to her brides, to herself.
-          We then see a shot of Jane wearing a dress and saying ‘this is the one’, we think that the dress is for her, but then she goes on the phone to the actual bride and we find out that Jane is just there for the measuring of the dress and to make sure it all good . This adds humour as we see how dedicated she is towards other peoples love life and marriages, but not her own.
-          After that scene we see Jane at a wedding looking at her watch, and rushing in to  a taxi getting changed and rushing to a different wedding that happens to be on the same day and time. This also adds humour because Jane is very dedicated , it can also come across as obsessed, and we find out that she tends to never say no to a client
-          She is unknowingly being observed by a man who is watching and laughing as he realises that she is at 2 weddings.
-          You also get a slight inkling that she wants her happily ever after to, as she gets bored of seeing other people in love
