My group ended up going for the story line of the girl who seeks love throught the internet.
Here is a more in depth look.

A lonely girl, named Ann who wants to find the love of
her life, after being bullied by the most popular girl Amy, who always says she
will never beloved with a face like hers. Ann slowly believes Amy, making Ann
more desperate for love, after thinking of ways to get a boy to like her,
without them judging on her looks, instead realising that her personality and
intelligence is immensely amazing, she thinks of the one place where no one can
find the true you, the internet. She joins an online dating website, but with a
different picture, she uses a picture of a beautiful girl randomly found on the
vast numbers of images online. Soon she then starts talking to Max, a guy who
as a joke made a fake account, but then gets drawn into the conversations him
and Ann share, later, Ann believes he is perfect, after their long
conversations, and the similarities they end up sharing, but what do you do
when the one you love, is the one you’re hiding from, she has lost her
confidence because of her looks, Will she be able to face up to reality. After
days of spending deep chats, they both find out that they go to the same
school, making Max excited, but Ann worried. This is when Ann decides to see
Max, but not as herself, no, she decides to see him, but as the girl she has as
her profile picture, the fake picture. With the help of her friends she goes
through this crazy transformation in order to meet her hopeful true love. Max
and Ann agree to meet outside a station, so they can meet for the first time
and also go out shopping and have a fun day out together. When they first meet
they are excited, shocked at each other’s good looks, especially Ann, as they
go out, various things happen to Ann's disguise, such as, when Ann goes into a
shop, she does realise her fake nose has come off after she had sneezed, only
until she sees her face in a reflection, does she notice, she panics and start
retracing her steps until she finds it in the shops shoe, quickly grabbing it
and sticking the 'fake nose' on her real nose. They spend a lovely day out, and
go back home. When they see each other at school again, from then on they are
inseparable, until Amy gets involved, and realise something isn’t quiet right,
and tries her best to make sure she finds the truth. As the days go by, Ann
finds it harder and harder to keep this big secret from Max, she’s at home
thinking how she will tell the truth, when all of a sudden she gets a knock on
the door, its Ann’s brother, with a new friend, Max! She’s shocked and quickly
closes the door, and then reopens it saying ‘sorry’, with her boyfriend not
knowing the real Ann, and stay at her house with her brother, what’s her plan?
What will she do?
My group chose this plot because for the final piece, because it is different, but still follows the conventions of a 'teen' romcom, as it isnt to rude for 13 - 20's, and its interesting as the main girl has to live 2 identities which some people can realate too.
