Target Audience

Our target audience for the genre romcoms, is females!
why females ?
firstly, most women like the light hearted nature in romcoms.
secondly they like the general story line of finding one true love, 
and lastly, females like to get advice from romcoms, aswell as laugh, and maybe even relate to them.

Possible jobs these women might have are: 
- teacher
-housewife
-student
-nursery staff/ helper etc 
 rough income of 25 k a year.

The women who tend to watch romcoms are normally intrested in;
-fashion
-humour
-relationships
- other genres such as drama, and comedy

There are 2 types of romcoms, teen romcoms, or the standard 15 + romcoms which is more targeted to older woman in there 20's and above.
Teen Romcoms have the following codes and conventions
-hot mean girls
-hot gut
-main gurl seen to be a outsider
-different clicks etc
These teen romcoms are normally targeted to 13 - 20 year olds, due to a more light heart take on love, and less adult scenes.

Standard 15+ romcoms have the following;
- sex scenes
-hot guy and girl
- a complication or obstacle
-adult humour

These 15+ romcoms are targeted towards female 20-45 year olds, as they can understand the crude humour, and are more mature, also they can relate towards what is going on, rather than the young teens.


Lastly the lifestyle of females who watch romcoms are due to be more artsy and relaxed.
